ABOUT THE NORDMANN FIR TREE

Also known as the Caucasian Fir or Abies Nordmanniana, this tree is primarily grown in the Scottish Highlands and Eastern Europe’s cooler climates. Renowned for not shedding its needles, the Nordmann Fir can get super tall—some types reach over 250 feet! However, Christmas versions usually range between 3 and 12 feet. We offer trees grown in Scotland, carefully nurtured for about a decade. Because we focus on premium grade, every tree we sell is lush and well-shaped.

NORDMANN FIR APPEARANCE

Though not the “original” Christmas tree, the Nordmann Fir has become the go-to image of what a classic Christmas tree should look like. It starts bushy at the base and tapers off towards the crown, offering ample space for ornaments. Its deep green, glossy foliage is softer to the touch than other trees, making it great for homes with kids or pets. The tree often has a long top branch, giving you the choice to trim it for a tree topper or leave it as is.

THE NON-DROP CHRISTMAS TREE

The Nordmann Fir retains its needles exceptionally well, even if it dries out. It’s more heat-resistant than the Norway Spruce, making it a low-maintenance option for warm homes. All trees need regular watering, especially in warm settings. We provide a care guide, but always recommend keeping the tree away from direct heat and ensuring it’s well-watered. While it lacks the strong scent of a Norway Spruce or Fraser Fir, you might catch a light, citrusy aroma.
